Spotlight: Carrie Sandoval

Carrie is a baby and children’s photographer based in San Diego, CA.  She originally received her BFA in Graphic Design from California State University Fullerton and worked as an Art Director for an advertising agency, a job she truly loved.

In July 2000, Carrie made a major career change: she delivered her first healthy baby and became a full time mother. Within weeks, she bought her first point and shoot digital camera.” I spent countless hours staring at my precious miracle, snapping so many pictures because I wanted to absorb and preserve every amazing bit of him.” Becoming a mother was the catalyst that caused her love of photography to blossom.

Two years later, after the birth of her twin girls, she decided to get a bit more serious. The point and shoot was replaced with a professional digital camera, and her beloved hobby was transformed into another career. “Capturing the raw beauty and innocence of children — mine and others — is a complete rush!”
